The injury ravished Yanks meet the  minus Votto, Phillips  Reds starting tonight

I was listening to Pork Chop Jones this week  and she mentioned Yuk meister Paul O’Neill will be in the booth  with  Mikey Applegate, so  we’ll  will have the radio  broadcast on up here on the Mountain

I thought Hiroki Kuroda would get the nod, hoping to  get 2 or 3 starts before the deadline, but that’s not the case Thousabd dollar Car David Phelps the Bomber Ace gets the ball.

Recently  Phelps has allowed 13 earned runs in 37 1/3 innings and is 2-0 with a 3.13 ERA.

The Red will  counter with  Mike Leake (7-7, 3.54) is 2-0 with a 1.10 ERA in six career interleague road starts. He gave up four runs in six innings in a 4-2 loss in his lone career outing against the Yankees on June 22, 2011.

Let’s hope the Yanks can  somehow make this a season

Preview

Congrats to  Masahiro Tanaka, Dellin Betances, David Robertson, and Brett Gardner for getting straight A’s from  the NY beat  writers on their mid-season report card

  1. alright looks like the boys will not get a blood transfusion to change their DNA and continue on their path to a playoff berth

Cashman is working diligently on upgrading the team, hopefully he doesn’t do anything stupid and trade away the few decent prospects he has accumulated for some over paid older player / pitcher who is a candidate to join Sabathia and ARod in the Dead Money Society

CC UPDATE: General manager Brian Cashman said the Yankees should have a firm diagnosis on CC Sabathia’s right knee on Friday. After canceling his appointment with Dr. James Andrews, Sabathia visited two other specialists to determine the next step for the degenerative condition in his knee. Should Sabathia require microfracture surgery, his season would be over and his career would be in jeopardy.

  2. Listening to the MLB network, imagine if the Dodgers land Price? Also the M’s are knocking on his door.. Price is rumored to not want to go to Seattle though so it would be a rental.. Marlon Byrd has Seattle on his no trade clause, maybe he’ll reconsider, but imagine Seattle getting Price and Zobrist

  3. this will scare the shit out of Larry Lucchino, or maybe not, it might take him off the hook for overpaying Lester.. I think I saw Levine leaving Temple this morning, word is he was lighting candles, he even brought in a few 100 extras… Man to get out from under that contract would be a God sense, my guess the Insurance company would fight that result that Sabathia’s career is over.. come on CC pull a Dempster bro

  4. How bad is this infield, bad enough the pitching is a group of #5 starters, then you have to deal with the infield from hell, makes these kids job harder

And Greene is a ground ball pitcher, so when he pitches that could be trouble

The boys need to put a few in the seats, give Phelps some breathing room
