  13. I’m watching the game, thank god no Ma & Pa radio. But…….Betran lost that ball in the sun, very tough RF. not his fault, clearly. Louie dealing, not withstanding the score. Consistently at 97, with occasional 98 & 99! He’s even better at this point of the game than earlier. Should have a shutout. Been staying away from the middle of the plate. Lots of 98’s! Lemme tell ya……he’s filthy!! CY Hutch on the other hand, has been really good at staying away from the middle of the plate. Up, down, inside, & outside. Yanks need some late lightning.

  16. I said same thing after Pilar caught the same high fly in the same spot,
Beltran should never set foot in any outfield anywhere again, ever.

  20. tough to win games when your #3 hitter is batting in August .152 with a 27% on base and a .217 Slg%…16 games without a HR…. not much you can do, they have to sink or swim with #13…

Soon as they take Bird out of the line-up they lose lol

    • That ’79 team must’ve been some squad. Sorry the Good Guys couldn’t get ‘er done for you Donny. But, you’re relaxing with an ice pack, and Vape in hand…..it could be worse. All in all, it was a very good weekend for the Yanks. I’ll take it.

    • The met mutts were giddy this week
They were saying they have Pittsburgh coming in and they miss their 2 best starters

Pitt is getting ready to sweep

Hold off on those World Series tickets Freddie

      Sal

      August 16, 2015 at 4:48 pm

    • See, this is what I hate about Mutts fans. As soon as they start winning, the fans start chirping big time before they’ve won a damn thing! Win something, then you can start talking. In the meantime, sit down, shut up, & hope your team doesn’t blow this thing!

  23. Outside of a few mistakes with location, the kid pitched a helluva game. I think this was the hardest thrown game he’s had (consistently high 94 to 99) to date. At 21, he has absolutely filthy stuff! It took almost a season & 3/4, but Friday night, Beltran had his signature Yankee moment. We’ve trashed him here so many times for so long, it’s hard to recognize, that he’s actually been very good for quite a while now. Really.
