Beltran and Sun

with 10 comments

As a Bird Dog Law should stick  to hoodwinking his ESPN metric geek fiefdom.. If there is any pitch Severino  can  command it’s his fast ball,  ask Eddie Encarnacion (3 K’s) the most notorious fast ball hitter in baseball

Blind Boys from RAB Guru Keith Law thought Severino was no  different then 200 other young pitchers in baseball.. Too bad Belran and Sun couldn’t  agree to  disagree on the outcome of what looked like an innocuous F/9, I mean Bautista and Pillar didn’t seem to have trouble with Mother Nature shining her light on the playing field

It would have been more fun then  a Kate Upton GIF to  see if Severino still over throws and clanks his  cement mixer slider to Donaldson and Joey Big Mouth when both  teams come out for the 4th inning.. Suppose the Bomber offense actually woke up and plated a run or two in the 4th, instead of Hutchinson punching out Ellsbury, Gardner, walking Arod and inducing an F/9 for a quick  shut down inning.

Wait, did you say  the 3rd out was an F/9, you mean a fly ball  to  right field that Bautista caught? Did the sun go in at that moment? Did they close  the roof now that Team Canada had stolen a 3 run lead?

Back in the day  guys like “Tony Gwynn” who Kevin Kernan  brought up at around 8:30 PM on WFAN’s Jody Mac show used to  spend considerable time shagging fly balls before games, specifically trying to find angles to  avoid what  happen to Beltran  yesterday. Angles, glove, positioning = Sun Block

That  was Then,  this is your Now modern baseball player, nobody does infield or out field drills anymore.. When Hank Bauer grabbed you by your pencil neck in the clubhouse and said “don’t even think  about fucking with  my World Series money kid, you paid attention

Now players ink $100’s of millions of guaranteed dollars before they even don your favorite laundry, who needs to  figure Sun angles, and why after you’ve taken a series would you possibly effort trying to  grind out a sweep, especially if the opposing pitcher is throwing his A game, which is still equivalent  to  a mid rotation  starter’s stuff

Mid rotation  stuff? What  other explanation would you have for John Wayne Gibbons yanking his starter after only 90 pitches, and bring in a kid who  turned the NYY season  around just  2 days ago by serving a clothes line fastball  to Beltran?.. Maybe Gibby felt the Bombers were looking at  their iWatch’s more then  video in the clubhouse and thought here’s a good chance to  build my kid’s confidence back up?

Funny how on Friday night when Aaron Sanchez came in to relieve a tuckered out David Price, and the Bomber season was on the line,  Beltran figured out a way  to  out fox the 22 yr old kid throwing 97 heat 84 change up..

Every Yankee hater on the planet screamed Gibby should have left Price in, despite the Jays announcer crew saying  Price should never have even pitched the 8th inning..Nobody was screaming about taking out Hutchison who  was commanding a 3 hitter on 90 pitches, most of the outs rolled over ground balls…Gibby must of thought he died and went to heaven 6.1 innings 3 hits 1 run are you kidding me, when’s my next payment to the Devil?

Yesterday  ARod, Teixeira and Beltran  went a collective 0-10 with  3 strike outs, yes ARod took the hat  trick against Drew Hutchison, Aaron Sanchez, and Roberto Osuna.. Two of the three Team Canada hurlers could have been ARod and Beltran’s sons

“I felt terrible,’’ the ice cold Yankees designated hitter said after Sunday’s 3-1 loss to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, when he went 0-for-3 (all strikeouts) to extend his slide to 3-for-34 (.088). “Everyone goes through it. It will be good to get a change of scenery.’’

What,  the Toronto Strip Clubs ain’t happening anymore Alex? Or maybe they’re happening better then  ever??

Actually only 3 Bombers got hits, Ellsbury had 2, Babe Gardner and McCann had 1 each.. Arod, Teixeira, Beltran, Headley Gregorius, and Drew went 0-19

That’s baseball has been the go to  cliche in 2015… Trap  games, get away day, Sunday night games, day game after a night game, 16 games in a row, Buyer BeWare

The Yanks left Toronto a 0.5 better then  they  arrived, you sign up  for that  after the first  two loses in Cleveland, right Pilgrim?

When as a fan you do  the math and it equates to either a 0.5 or 2.5 games in the Standings,  3 games instead of 2 games in the loss column, sending Team Canada on the road where they’re 25-31 with  a 3 game losing streak to  think  about, you take the former in all  three scenarios, right?

Speaking of Trap Games, Michael Kay  tried to  ease the fan base’s pain yesterday  by stating the Yanks go  back  home after today’s game!!

Yeah because that  worked out great  vs Boston  and Toronto (2-4)

He further jinxed tonight by saying and they  face Kyle Gibson (3.75 ERA) who  they  can hit? You mean unlike Drew Hutchuson 5.26 ERA who  they  couldn’t?????

the Whole 9

  1. That keith law bit bugged me when it came out, and after seeing Severino pitch it bugs me even more

this is the same dip shit that overrated the Boston farm system.. I’ll give him Betts and Bogaerts, I’ll even throw in Rodriguez, Swihart and Owens, but they couldn’t give away the other 15 in that touted Red Sox system

Margot and Devers could be good, in 3 yr’s

and lets take it easy, they have $60M invested in Moncada, he’s worth more then the whole Greenville team, and i’m talking about buying the team not the compiled payroll

Glad the Yanks are home too bad they take so many days off.. Speaking of days off, if Cashman isn’t gonna go ut and get Phillips or Utley and DFA Ryan, then maybe Arod should sit for a few, man thats a rough batting line smack dab in the middle of the line-up

then again maybe he’s over due

  2. Beningo and Simms on the radio is like being stuck sitting between two nuns on a 7 hour plane flight in coach

  4. Yanks are back in first so we should be happy. Incredible that they cannot hit that palooka yesterday,he has shut them down a few times in a row now. I am getting very worried about Arod,he looks like he is done-he does not look and is not swinging like he did earlier in the season. Time to spike up!!!-lol I hope I am wrong and he gets back on track soon. Severino has no luck,Yanks just never score when he pitches and compound things by making errors behind him, regardless of what the official scorer says. This is Hope week at the stadium, the Yanks usually do well on the field and they need to vs the Twins and Indians. I heard a Met fan call in JoeB/Simms-they look worse on tv than they sound-lol-who was worried the Yanks would sign Cespedes as a free agent if the Mets don’t resign him quickly.JoeB agreed-I had to laugh. Cespedes has been on 4 teams,
Yanks already have GARDY,Ellsbury and Beltran under contract for next year, not coming to the Yanks.

    • Hey big d Beningo is clueless and without is buddy even more so

With Simms there they should just talk football leave baseball alone

Yeah ARod is more like a coach then a #3 hitter but we both know his buddy Girardi is gonna keep running him out there need the other guys to pick him up
      Hope Im wrong too

  5. That said Beltran is a bit older and it was a tough spot to be in

It still comes down to not hitting if they win That game that play is swept under the rug

    August 17, 2015 at 11:18 am

  6. Why does Francesa even ask a question
all he does is answer it before his interview has a chance to

Then he talks over the interview while they try to get a word in

Man I thought Beningo and Simms took radio back 40 yrs The Pope is giving them a run

At least there are no nit wit gambler calls that said is rather listen to my wife tell me how to drive then this football show
It’s ficking 95 degrees wtf cares about a bunch of college drop outs telling you how good they feel
Two baseball teams in a pennant race
Mets only play 5 games against teams with a winning record down the stretch
And they said the Al east was bad
    DC has a losing record
