Yanks Fall And Can’t Get Up

with 38 comments

Yanks continue to crawl to the finish line with that clunker

We can now stop blaming how bad they are vs LHP as the only culprit, they can’t get it done vs RHP either

Boston has out classed them two nights in a row in every aspect of the game

This late season implosion will cost Hal, his smoke and mirrors team has been exposed

He either bites the bullet and revamps or they play to half houses in the Bronx next season

At the moment Amaheim is the team they would play, but at the moment does it matter

  1. Unless Tanaka can toss a gem yanks might not get a game here
Boston is shooting for a .500 season and they’re 3 back
Plus they’re a much better team
Of young players trying to impress Dombrowski
    Yanks are out of gas

  2. Even if we make the wild card we wont go any further.
    This “Team” has nuthin,
    No bats
    No arms
    No HEART
How Cashman is still employed is a travesty.
    Embarrassingly pathetic

    • Donnie when you inherit the family business and you have no idea how to run that business you stick with the status quo Cashman is all Hal knows he’s also the President of baseball operations and the GM

most teams have a president of baseball operations and a GM as separate positions
Cashman and Stick Michael run the Yankee baseball operations unfortunately they have to answer to Hal and his bookkeeping department
I blame Hal although I like to blame Cashman but I think Cashman’s hands are tied

  3. Yanks are just old they’re relying on a 40-year-old has been and a 36-year-old injury prone slugger
they also gave Beltran another 37-year-old a three-year deal

they signed Ellbury for slugger money and he’s nothing but a punch and Judy hitter

Gardner has to go they should flip him at 32 years old before he starts trending even further south than he did the second half of the season
the fact you can’t trade Ellsbury’s contract means Gardner needs to go

  4. Instead of charging into the playoffs,Yanks are praying they can back in. We have seen this from Pinheada before, things go bad and instead of stopping it,he loses it and things go straight to hell. The sux scored 6 in the first, the first time in 837 games vs the Yanks at the stadium that it happened!!! We saw history last night boys!!! Then after scoring 4 in the bottom of the inning, the offense goes to sleep, something we have seen many, many times. The whole team just simply cannot hit,and the pitching is a crap shoot, never know what you will get. Arod looks like he is on fumes, either strikes out or hits into a dp. The rest of the lineup is not much better, the whole team looks out of gas. What can you say about the relievers other than they just fkn suck!!!! They cannot get anyone out, turn a close game into a blow out. Time to light candles for all the other teams behind them to lose so they can finally wrap up the wild card!! They may need divine intervention!!!-lol

  5. I think G-D is a MET fan this year, Dallas, 😠😠😠😠😠
No Divine Intervention for Joey with the Clap”s kiddies this October, i fear,,

  6. Besides getting my Yankee reassurance from Joey Claps every night, my second favorite cartoon character in the bunch is Jack (Mousse) Curry–(credit to Sal on that label).
Jack’s daily focus is as a Yankee sports psychologist and trying to alert the team (why in hell they would listen to him anyway) about what mindset they should have for the game at hand. Jack sets these mensa ballplayers straight and if they follow his wisdom—-gravy.
Of course, I reckon back to the real players and stars we knew growing up and how to keep it simple—Willie Mays—they throw it, I hit it. They hit it, I catch it. Or Hank Aaron who came to bat in the World Series one year and Yogi told him he was going to break his bat because he had the label turned the wrong way–“Yogi–I came up here to hit, not read.”

  7. I know Stick is a major advisor, but I don’t think he’s as involved with the decision making as he had been in the past. If he was, I gotta believe he would’ve put the kibosh on some of the moves they’ve made over the last couple of years. Actually, I wish he was still running things. We need a war time consigliere now. “Pop had Genco, and look what I’ve got!” Cashman is like Sonny running the Family Business.

  8. DonB, I think he is rooting for the Mets this year, they have been just incredible the second half of the season. The main factor in the Yankee decision making process is $$$,not making the team better or actually going for the world series. Until winning baseball becomes the main criteria,we will be stuck with a team that is competitive, but not championship quality.

  9. You guys are definitely playing more at the real level of the team than earlier in the year when I was trying to figure out how on earth the Yankees were winning all those games…Of course, I’m beaten down so far that I’m cheering that the Sox are out of last place and maybe going to make .500…
I was upset at the time, but not paying a .260 hitter (only 14 doubles!) and frequent visitor to the DL $153 million is looking pretty good….and get rid of Drew, for god’s sake!

I have a feeling you guys are going to get past the first playoff game, though, and get into the first round.
Both teams have some work cut our for them. Except for pitching, I’m feeling pretty good about the Sox at the moment…they need some starter help, obviously…

Hey fellas great stuff, in fact I can’t wait to compile all our favorite content, which will take forever due to the vast inventory

It takes a few Boston beat downs to get BK out but we’ll take it, small price to pay lol

And yes BK The Doughboy and his .350 SLG % was a huge mistake.. Boston has become a much better hitting team then NY, and their core is setting valuable playing experience

I can see them sweeping the Yanks unless Tanaka can unleash a gem

      September 30, 2015 at 7:38 pm

  13. Moscone Tanaka got the first 2 out, then a single, walk to Ortiz,Shaw hit a 3 run bomb. Yanks got 1 back but left 2 on,sux got another one on a double and single, right now losing 4-1

    September 30, 2015 at 8:23 pm

    • Why waste outs bunting it’s not like they can drive in a run in scoring position
Let them swing that’s how you played it all yr

Need to use a starter after this inning if Miller gets through the 10th can’t trust a AAA pitcher

Betts has 17 HR’s the dip shit Doughboy 7

      September 30, 2015 at 11:04 pm

  23. Schools in session Girardi Cashman pay attention

    September 30, 2015 at 11:06 pm

  24. Yanks might be the only team in history to make the WC game losing every game down the stretch

Girardi and Cashman are a joke
    With this AAA bull pen

    September 30, 2015 at 11:10 pm

  25. Wally Mathews

Girardi is sure to be second-guessed for pulling Justin Wilson, who had retired five straight hitters, and replacing him in the seventh with Dellin Betances, who has struggled lately. Betts slammed Betances’ third pitch over the left-centerfield fence to tie the game at 5-5.

    September 30, 2015 at 11:18 pm

  26. I like to slam Hal, Hank, Cashless & Joey Claps over the left-center field fence !!

    September 30, 2015 at 11:42 pm

  27. I had to listen to this on the radio. The broadcast was as disgusting as the game. This could possibly be the most futile game of the season. Sal, you could be right. The Yanks might get into the WC by losing every game left. Mookie Fucking Betts vrs Ellsburied……no contest! We got bamboozled! And Bradley Jr? He needs to be taught a lesson. All in all, a horrible evening!
