Sunday Prayer Meeting

Yanks finished up yesterday

Luis Severino pitched five innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. He struck out six and walked one. He posted a 1.35 ERA over his final five spring appearances.

Jacoby Ellsbury homered and singled in two at-bats for the Yankees.

Severino threw 72 pitches, 51 for strikes over five innings of work. Severino is scheduled to make his first regular season start on April 8 at Detroit. Our future Ace….

Game was on the radio from Miami (Fish broadcasters) Severino gave up a single, a walk, a ground out, and a sac fly in the 1st inning

in the 3rd an error a fly ball and a single drove in the unearned run.. Stanton drove in both runs

Miller pitched 0.2 of an inning, said he felt great….wouldn’t mind grabbing some of his pain meds, just for old time sake

Wally Mathews trying to stir it up, his projection Ellsbury starts tomorrow not Gardner.. Based on what? Hurting Ellsbury’s feelings…

Headley has a stomach virus so good chance he’s out, I don’t blame him, those things knock the daylights out of you
Ronnie Torreyes went from a minor league contract to starting at Yankee Stadium

Projected line-up vs Keuchel in the snow and rain lol… Retractable Dome stadiums please, so you sell a little less booze in the stadium restaurants

Jacoby Ellsbury CF

Starlin Castro 2B

Alex Rodriguez DH

Mark Teixeira 1B

Brian McCann C

Carlos Beltran RF

Chase Headley 3B*

Aaron Hicks LF

Didi Gregorius SS

Masahiro Tanaka RHP

Ellsbury picked a good day  to get two hits, and even better that he belted his first  tater, Vanilla Jennings has a gut feeling (lol) that based on the flack Girardi got benching Ellsbury last yr, Monday,  the teachers pet Gardner will take one for the team and take a seat

Makes sense, Gardner isn’t exactly Lou Gehrig vs LHP and if it keeps Ellsbury from  whining then go  for it, neither guy is likely to  touch Keuchel, although it is early it will be wet and cold so it’s not even  baseball  weather, too bad these games count, but it’s a chance to  steal  a few maybe
