  2. Aaron Hicks (shoulder) said he felt a little better but he is not healthy enough to play. He plans to travel to Texas.

No DL for Hicks, I don’t get it, why go a man short, unless they plan on trying to shoe horn Ackley into the OF….

  3. The Rangers have scratched southpaw Cole Hamels from his start Monday against the Yankees because of left groin soreness, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News was among those to report (on Twitter). Hamels also missed a start last year because of a sore groin, but the club doesn’t believe the injury is serious. It’s currently unclear who will start in his place Monday.

  4. Nicky Two fingers Cafardo

Really Nicky, you understand why he did it, “to get over the hump”, isn’t that the same case with every player who does it and gets caught… And what about the poor bastids that can’t get over the hump, but play clean?…

this guy was pretty instrumental in Team Canada’s success last yr… .321 with 15 homers and 54 RBIs in 360 plate appearances

Chris Colabello, 1B/OF, Blue Jays — His 80-game suspension for testing positive for a steroid is one of the sadder stories in baseball. The Massachusetts native languished in the CanAm League for seven years before being signed by the Twins. He had his breakout year last season when he hit .321 with 15 homers and 54 RBIs in 360 plate appearances for the Blue Jays. In some ways, you understand why he did it. It was a chance to get over the hump. The downside was getting caught, and now he’ll have to pay the price with his reputation tarnished. Apparently his disclosure of the suspension to teammates was very emotional. Colabello says he doesn’t know how he tested positive

  7. Ma and Pa are a bad listen but when the lead is 5-0 it gets excruciating

Now that the pressure is off PineTop, maybe he’ll get 18 outs, preferably 21 outs.. Don’t let him quit Larry, work his ass off

although the bitch is already at close to 50 pitches, we’re lucky to get 15 outs…. Goody will get a good work out today, fight at the Tampa bat rack

  9. Great spin by Joey on the post game. He was dismissing today’s game and stressed that they won the series. If he really felt that way then why in hell didn’t they just forfeit today’s game, get on the friggin plane to Texas and save the staff and rest the players that way?
Donnie B–I despise Joey as much as you do, if that’s possible.
And Sal–Mikey 2 Chins wants Gardzilla as captain? In the great Yankee tradition of captains who were actually great players?
How about he works on getting 150 hits in a year, and batting at least .280 in one year during his career?
The second half of the year last year, he couldn’t be the Captain on Gilligan’s Island. And Mikey is always the one to raise small sample size. As good as he has been so far–and that’s 3 weeks–Melky is having a better year.
