Yanks Get Rocked

with 13 comments

The Yanks might want to  employ Paulie the Clown O’Neill  for the rest of the season, the Cincinnati Laughing Boy along with his straight man Michael Kay  could easily provide a distraction  from what is happening on the baseball  field this season.

O’Neill is the Oliver North of baseball  when it comes to  telling  war stories..

The YES production crew can  show highlight’s of the Clown’s zany career, one of my favorite interruptions, next to  the Brickhouse puff pieces mid inning..

Paulie and Kay can reminisce about the days when Kay  was a nerd beat  writer and not a pencil neck play by play empty suit shilling for his bosses

And if I was at the production helm, I’d toss Adderall Al Leiter into  the fray… What the fuck, the mayor of Toms River NJ, can  spit out more useless information then a stage full of Presidential Primary candidates.

Forget No Runs DMC, there’s your Big 3, because what  this 2016 team needs more then  the holds and saves a putrid  offense and inconsistent  starting pitching staff  are  denying them, is to confuse the fanbase and the advertisers on what they’re watching, which is pure garbage

The media understands what  they’re covering, a badly constructed team, Beltran  tried to  slow down the Get Fat on bad competition rhetoric that hit the bricks after the Yanks lost the Detroit series once real pitchers toed the rubber

Beltran knew playing in an NL city, especially one that sits 5,470 feet above sea level, with  no DH, and a banged up middle of the line-up, with older players was a recipe for disaster..

Had it not been for the  2 Colorado reliever Gidrools coughing up  7 runs in game 1, the Yanks may have left Denver with nothing but 7 hits and 3 runs in each game vs two very mediocre starting pitchers

Yesterday  afternoon vs Chad Bettis who had a plus 11 ERA over his last 3 starts

Rockies righthander Chad Bettis had his best start in nearly a month, holding the Yankees to three runs (two earned) on seven hits and no walks, striking out five over six innings.

The Yankees failed to record an extra-base hit against Bettis and four Colorado relievers who combined to retire the side in order in each of the final three innings.

The Yanks are in last place in the AL East, but only 4 games out of a Wild Card!!!

Yes but, 10 other AL teams are in front of them, 3 of the 4 teams ahead of the Yanks in their division are better squads, and even if the older middle of the line-up  got hot, how long can they stay on the field and produce at  their advanced age?

So  you see what  we’re up  against, what  we’ve been up  against since Teixeira never got going, ARod started slow and really is a shell of his former self, and despite the claim that he loves to play  the field, Carlos Beltran is a DH…. Him running around right field every day chasing balls will only lead to more injuries over the long haul..

Tanaka  and Sabathia are your only two pitchers with  any pedigree,  or consistency and Sabathia is counting on a knee brace to keep him going, while  Tanaka has a bloated ERA pitching on 4 days rest

Forget Nova, Eovaldi, and Pineda, they might not even be decent trade chips down the stretch… Let me ask  you, would you trust any of those 3 in a big game during a playoff run?

Of course not, so  why would some contending team look to add them unless they  ran into  a severe injury plague?

It seems every media outlet that cover MLB is screaming for the Yanks to  be sellers, everybody but the Bombers that is… They’ll  tell  you  we’re only 4.5 games out of a playoff run, and once we get .175 hitting Mark Teixeira back and we get our 40 yr old DH back in the AL vs shit teams, we can get right back in this thing

OK, but if CashMan gets the call for a reliever, hopefully Chapman can  bring back a decent haul.. He’s just  a rental, and he really hasn’t pitched lights out as a Yankee, but he’s still  an elite  weapon used in a closing situation, so CashMan  can play  hard ball..

Miller, will be very inviting on the trade market, but CashMan  can’t just  give him away, Miller needs to  bring back a Fullmer, Velasquez, Lance McCullers  type of prospect.. Miller might not be able to get that  type of haul, but if CashMan adds to  the pile with a secondary prospect it’s possible

If not pull Miller off the table and save him for a later date, possibly next yr when his contract starts to near it’s end, or over the winter..

I’d be shopping Gardner, McCann, Beltran, Teixeira if he can get healthy, and of course the un-tradable Ellsbury

Forget the HayMaker or Get Fat Tour, the Bomber season should  now known as Save Psycho Joe a Prison Term Tour, because if anything screamed he might jump over his desk  and start  to  strangle a pencil neck nerd reporter it was after yesterday’s 6-3 loss

Enjoy the weekend we’re off to Seattle and Oregon, see you back on the mountain next Monday, we’ll  check in from the road enjoy…

  2. Psycho Joe in predictable unhinged mood after the loss, snapping back at the questions with an attempt to control his rage.
At this point the suits are primarily interested in how in hell they are going to keep selling those 1000 dollar and up seats inside the moat and convince the fanbase that their money is well worth what they’re getting. All that free food and extra special treatment not afforded the others.
If there was ever a team requiring a “clean the house” and start anew, it’s this bunch. The manager and GM have an expiration date stamped of their foreheads which management wants to tell everyone is a misprint.

  3. Our victory tour has hit a brick wall. I always say I hate interleague play because I do,its especially unfair to AL clubs in NL parks. That had something to do with the losses, but the fact that they could not do anything with the lousy Colorado starters shows how pathetic offensively this team really is. I fail to see how the return of Tex with his .194 is really going to make a difference. After winning 5 in a row, they have now lost 4 in a row,the hallmark of mediocrity. If they can’t beat their long time patsies, the Twins, time to pack it in!!!!!!! At some point in the near future, the HAVE to trade Chapman,he is going to be gone so get a player instead of some draft choice they will fk up. I really want them to keep Miller,he is their best and most reliable reliever. The post games with our Psycho are really more entertaining than the games. Whether going off on a botched pick off=”Its strategy, and can’t talk about it”- or going off on poor Brickhouse-“they are major leaguers”- someone needs a xanax right away.

  6. Sals pal CC channeled Whitey Ford and the Gator,Yanks finally got some runs and won. Paul Molitor was a hall of fame player, not so much as a manager. If he checked the Psycho’s Binder,he would have known
Didi was batting .360 vs lefties!! The SF airport is an abomination, I had a lot of problems there wandering around the parking lots with my luggage until someone helped me,told me you had to take the train to get the rental cars! You are better off landing in San Jose! Check out this article about the Yanks rebuilding=

  9. Yanks were trailing 4-0 after 6,getting shutout by Nicasio who they normally mutilate. Arod hit a 2 run opposite field bomb into the upper deck in the 7th,4-2. Beltran hit an opposite field 2 run bomb in the 8th,4-4. The Yanks loaded the bases on walks, bunt, passed ball then Ellsbury hit a 2 run single with 1 out,
GARDY hit a sac fly,7-4 Yanks in 9th. Chapman got the first 2 in the bottom of the 9th,then gave up back to back homers for the first time, then got the final out on a grounder,Yanks won 7-6. Miller pitched the 8th and got the win,Chapman a shaky save. Yanks going for the sweep Sunday. Happy Fathers Day Gang!!!
