Yanks Seattle

From Mushnick

In a big week for the arrests of full-scholarship college football student-athletes, Baylor’s Ish Zamora will be disciplined for beating his dog with a belt. Does that mean Baylor is more responsive to allegations of animal abuse by a football player than it recently was to multiple allegations of rape committed by its football players?

Mushy, dogs are a man’s best friend bro, plus don’t these Elite learning institutions provide the opportunities for  ignorant alpha male athletes to be in situations that very well  could end up in a drunken rape foray?

You can  lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink, You can  send a fool  to  college but you can’t make em think

Yanks  Mariners Tonight

The Mariners used five relievers during the Sunday loss, so they might be in a predicament for Monday’s game. While closer Edwin Diaz is available — he was held out of games both Saturday and Sunday to rest an arm that threw 61 pitches over his two appearances Wednesday and Friday nights — Seattle might be limited if starter Cody Martin struggles.

Pineda goes for the Yanks Cody Martin for the M’s.. looks like this kid has 6 games under his belt, only 1 as a starter.. Doesn’t mean he can’t shut the O down, looks like after going winless for two months, Jhoulys Chacin figured  out a way to  get healthy yesterday.

Looks like Green had a good line, 6 innings 5 hits, 1 run so  that’s good.. Looks like Warren created an  addition by subtraction situation  for the Cubs… CashMan might wanna find a better 8th inning option at AAA

My vote Dietrich Enns

I’ve never seen this kid pitch, but he’s 25 yr’s old, and looks to be SWB’s best starter…

Also WTF are they  doing to Severino?

“I’m a guy who throws fastball, slider and then changeups,” Severino said. “I don’t like to throw a lot of changeups, but I know I have to throw it more and more and more. It’s difficult to command a pitch when you don’t want to throw it.”

The kid doesn’t want to pitch  the way  they  want him to, so  maybe you can’t treat him the same way  you do Nick Goody…

Severino isn’t a starter yet, but  he has the best fastball in the organization, bring him back, let him pitch  out of the 7th or 8th inning, move Warren to a lower leverage spot until he improves

Severino  gets to hang with the varsity, plus you put him in spots he can flourish in so he regains some confidence…The varsity needs some bull pen help, that’s if this playoff run to  a Wild Card is still on the table… If it is, then Severino’s best  chance to help  the team is pitching out of then pen

Plenty of time to  make him a starter on CashMan’s dime, not ours…

  2. Yanks were 6-0 vs the Angels this season, had scored 5 runs in each game but could not get the sweep. Yanks had good starting pitching, but you have to keep in mind the Angels are in last place and are not a good offensive team. GARDY hit a missile that became a dp,Tex swung at ball 4 and popped out and they ended up getting shut out. They won the series,so the faux pennant chase continues. Saw that article about Severino, very reminiscent of the Joba Rules, how they treated Phil Hughes. Leave it to the Yanks to screw up a pitcher, they have a lot of experience doing it. Severino may really be a reliever,so why screw around with him? I actually met the great Choo Choo Coleman on the train heading to the Polo Grounds to watch the Mets.

  4. Big Action Bill–that’s Bill Buchanan, the Mikey impersonator, has a tweet this morning.
Our Big Boy has a hawse running in Saratoger on this Wednesday in the 6th Race–named Mongo Nation.
I don’t have enough interest to go, although I assume our Big Boy will be there.
I’ll report back on how the hawse did

  7. Swarzak aka King of the Gidrools, has given up 10 homers in 28 innings!! Unbelievable that they throw away the lead using that piece of trash. Yanks have brought up good position players, how can they not have anyone in the minors that can get batters out? Enough of these fkn gidrools already.

    • Hey big D….I’d definitely use Severino, and I’d try Enns the lefty who looks to be dominating at AAA….If you’re in a pennant race use your best players or STFU about making a run….
