Yanks Brew Crew Week End
Maybe even a good idea to fill the “8th inning need”
Looks like Betances woke up the Blue Jays
Now I feel bad for Gibby, he’s been mailing it in, like Francesa all season, until Betances walked him back to life… Now the Jays manager can’t sit in the corner and fall asleep, he has to try to earn the free health care, the good beer, and the big checks from Rogers Communication
Choi Choi I’m the Boy, G-Man baseball.. Wonder what Joey NickNames calls him?
(G-man Choy) So let’s see
G-sy? Choysie? New Choisy? the Dog Catcher?
I saw Domingo Acevedo with the Staten Island Yankees a few years ago, he was a big Ivan Nova looking kid who was throwing 98 at the Short Season league..
Looks like he’s been pitching backwards, he gets better as the leagues get tougher, sort of like Jorge Mateo? Maybe Denbo should pay attention, maybe some of these kids are so talented maybe regressing their advancement by keeping them at Tampa High A for whatever reason isn’t how to handle them?
As soon as Mateo got to Trenton the bright lights big city woke him up..
Big Mingo’s numbers
Low-A: 0-4, 4.57 ERA, 7 starts, 41 1/3 IP, 52 K, 9 BB
Double-A: 3-0, 1.39 ERA, 7 starts, 45 1/3 IP, 47 K, 6 BB
Triple-A: 1-1, 4.38 ERA, 2 starts, 12 1/3 IP, 8 K, 8 BB
Supposedly, the DonB’s favorite pitching coach Larry the Stable Guy, watches these pitchers every chance he gets on his iPad
Q: What have you seen from Acevedo this year?
Rothschild: “He’s always had a good arm. I think he’s trying to develop a slider. He has a good changeup. It’s just a matter of getting enough experience and working a few things mechanically that he needs to straighten out. And then we’ll go from there.”
Larry, You Think, shouldn’t you know?, No wonder the DonB has put in a request for the Tessio Ride..
We often wondered if Acevedo would be brought up to help out of the pen, he hits 103, maybe he can throw the ball over the plate, but Larry said that’s not in the conversation, he’s being groomed as a starter
“Tis the season for upgrade efforts,” Cashman said in a text message Thursday afternoon when asked if he’s actively searching the trade market for an upgrade at the position.
Typical Cashman, he has Bird who forgot how to hit, Hurri-K-ane Carter who struck out every 2.2 time up, he finally gets a kid who sees ghosts hits a Tater into the Dog Kennel in right (thanks Big D lol) and he wants to now look for a 1st baseman
Let Choi be the boy Cash, he’s trying to hit his way off the dog pound, and you can’t teach hitting a ball 457 feet… Just saying.. We’ll let you know when we’ve seen enough of this kid, until then, look for some pitching, and get Pineda the hell out of the Bronx…
Fiction writer/ baseball pundit Jon Heyman is worse then a used car salesman, he’s even worse then a lying, promise but don’t deliver politician.. The Bombers need pitching, so of course he figures they’ll trade Gleyber Torres for reliever Brad Hand
The Padres contacted the Yankees about trading for top infield prospect Gleyber Torres, according to a report from FanRag’s Jon Heyman.
I guess San Diego, per Heyman figures hey if they got this kid for Chapman why not Hand?
Lay off your appearances on the WFAN Met Mutt Show Jonny, they know less about the NYY, and Beningo knows less about baseball in general then a Russian Astronaut
The NY Yankees own 27 Title Belts Jon, the Cubs owned none, the Indian hadn’t won in a million years, you see the difference? Try to keep up…
Rays beat Sale
The Rays are hotter then Kate Upton dancing in a bathing suit….They think they can take the East.. Morrison was pissed he didn’t get the Derby nod, like Sanchez was lobbying for it…lol
Gregorius was begging for votes like some rat ass politician not Sanchez, embarrassing
Morrison you guys have 10 fans, 8 of them are Red Sox and NYY fans at that, the other two meet at the nursing home TV room, take it easy….
Rays are tough they traded for the SS, they’re getting injured guys back, and they can pitch…. They play their WS every time NY or Boston go to the Tampa Circus Tent…
never a shock when they pull off this shit…
Re: all these pitching injuries
All this 5 and fly shit in the minors?? WTF

Love the Cashman quote about ” upgrade efforts.” Does that include girlfriend upgrade efforts for him?
Joba has been looking for a new gig since spring training. And now so is Jesus Montero. You’re a prospect one day and a suspect the next day.

A couple of thoughts…
Trade Glebar Torres? Is he out of his fucking mind???
Kaat & his pitching coach, Johnny Sain, always championed throwing a lot. Strengthening the arm.
They baby these guys today ridiculously. 5 or 6 & fly??? I get it, it’s all that Do Re Mi that’s invested in these pansies, but c’mon!!!
If CashMan is looking to upgrade his hooker situation, he should call me…..I’ll set him up.
And finally, I have to tell the Don B, for the next Tessio Ride (Pinetop), we’re gonna have to get another car……mine was stolen

Moscone–gonna agree with you. Throwing builds up arm strength. Was there ever a pitch count for extra throws with apples and tomatoes? Or snowballs all winter long? Helps your control, too.

Why bring up a power hitting LHB who was doing well up AAA when you can pay Hurri-K-cane Carter..
I do remember following the Railriders and seeing Choi doing well and I do remember he went on the DL.. so I’ll give Blind Boy Cashman the benefit of the doubt..
Problem is there is probably a reason Choi was released by the Angels, last yr he wasn’t any good, but he was pretty good at AAA this yr, still Ref, Carter, Holliday, Romine, Sanchez all played first base instead…. 40 man roster BS no doubt

Over under on Cashman sending Wade back and keeping Ref when Castro gets back
Romine Torreyes and one of Frazier Ref or Wade
They need a back up to Choi so wouldn’t it be Ref? Be a shame to send Wade back

Worst NYY bull pen in the modern baseball era
I’d start to look for teams that need a left fielder
Pineda sucks can’t trade him
Clippard can’t trade him
Cashman can’t sell anybody
Castro and Gardner that’s about it

No way Clippard is here tomorrow
