A Bunch Of Bull

with 17 comments

The Yanks played a very entertaining game last night, unfortunately the water pistol toting  bad guys slipped into  the winers circle on a Walk off Walk for a  5-4 win..

First  the Good

Settling All Family Business

The SanBino  couldn’t get on the same page with his starter Jordan Montgomery who  has become comfortable pitching to Austin Romine, but for obvious reasons Romine was glued to  the bench in an effort to get Matt Holliday back in the line-up, so Sanchez was given the tools

The Montgomery outing was a disaster, but

The SanBino responded offensively like the El Gary of old going 2 for 4 with  3 RBI’s..

In the 3rd inning Headley and Torreyes hitting 8/9 in the line-up led off with  singles.. After Gardner was struck out SanBino muscled an RBI single off the glove of Bogaerts to  give the Bombers a 1-0 lead

After blowing the lead on a rare  Cafeteria Lady 2 run HR in the 3rd, and an RBI single by the  #15Midget, Sanchez put the Bombers back in front in the 5th..

Headley once again led off, this time with a double, Gardzilla singled him home to  cut the lead to  3-2…Working with a 1-2 count, Pomeranz left a 91 MPH fast ball up  and in but not up  and in enough and Sanchez hit the light tower 410 feet away to  give the Yanks a 4-3 lead..

Good job by Sanchez showing the All Star  break hadn’t fogged up his cross hairs and he presented us with out favorite sound, a pin drop heard in Fenway Pahk

Thanks SanBino  good job..

After Montgomery’s 4 inning debacle Chad Moe Green came in and punched out 5 of the 6 batters he faced to  further amplify our favorite sound, A Pindrop heard in Fenway Pahk for the next  2 innings..

Of course he was pulled from the game after 30 pitches because Green isn’t Teflon Joe’s “7th inning guy”

Considering the end result in the 9th inning, maybe that  works in the Yanks favor, Teflon Joe won’t keep Green  bolted to  the bench for 3 days after pitching “2 innings” and maybe we see him on Sunday, a big maybe, but maybe nonetheless

Killer job by Green

Adam  the Sheriff Warren  the new “7th inning guy” wasn’t as dominating as Green but he left Boston scoreless despite  a two out single, a very loud double off the Monster and the hardest hit ball of the  night for Boston, a very long F/8 to  the deepest part of Fenway. The out stomped out the rally and  once again it produced our favorite sound, a pin drop heard in Fenway Pahk

A messy  but result driven inning by the Sheriff

After Boston was mowed down by Chad Moe Green, Betances was a welcomed site as one Red Sox fan said too me….

Well  that didn’t work out so  well  either for our now getting  nervous Angry Cousins to  the North as D-Bet punched out the side, after knee capping their first baseman  with  a 97 MPH fast ball

Pin drops  were  heard everywhere in Fenway Pahk

And that  concludes our  Settling All Family Business  segment for the night.. A hearty Thank you to  all  the participants…

Sonny In The Toll Booth

Our Sonny in the Toll Booth  list  is long and tedious tonight so lets get after it…

Out of the gate Montgomery kicks off our hit parade… As the Bombers starter, the young man was out of rhythm, couldn’t get on the same page with Sanchez, and made a total mess out of every inning he pitched..

4 innings, 6 hits, 3 runs 3 BB’s, 3 K’s, 1 HR 96 / 57 pitches…

Only 8 of the of the 21 batters the GumBino faced saw first pitch  strikes, he had no  tempo, no fast ball  command, no bite on his curve ball, but he managed to  escape his worst outing of the year only giving up  3 runs

A Brutal  outing that  was only preserved by the fact Boston’s offense was inept in the clutch

Red Sox RISP: 1-10 (Pedroia 1-1, Ramírez 0-1, Young 0-1, Bogaerts 0-3, Marrero 0-1, Benintendi 0-1, Betts 0-2)

Hopefully next time is better.. See you in 5 Son…

From the 3 hole hitter Judge, (where’s Danilo Valiente when we need him?) to  the the 7 hole the DoughBoy the Bombers went 0-19 with 9 punch outs

The biggest culprit was Matt Holliday with  3 punch outs and a gut punch inning ending DP in the 3rd… Thanks to Happy Holliday, 3 singles and a walk only resulted in 1 run.

Garrett Chicken  Cooper, a career AAAA 26 yr old player who  was lighting up  the PCL league, a hitter’s paradise, is  Cashman’s answer to  fixing first base… He had zero clue at the plate going 0-4 with 3 punch-outs, but that  didn’t stop Teflon Joe from batting him 6th in the line-up…

So Teflon Joe could get his right left right formula up  and running… Unfortunately with Bird probably out for the season, and Cashman not wanting to pay  sticker price for a real  first baseman, we’ll be seeing a lot of the Chicken Cooper over the next  at least 3 weeks..

Hopefully today vs Chris Sale the best AL pitcher,  he’s better……Thanks Cash nice job

Murderer’s Toe Ronnie Torreyes normally  a guy  you can count on to  carry the ammo, looked more like Rob Refsynder on defense making two  costly errors.. One in the 4th  that  cost Montgomery a run, and one in the 9th  that saw Betts score the tying run..

Betts was gonna score anyway  but maybe getting at least 1 out in the inning may have sparked Chapman to  not suck  so  bad…

Thanks Toe, you’ve been a good soldier, but last night you reminded everybody why you’re a back  up…

Last but not least the Biggest  culprit in this mess was the $86M Dog that  won’t hunt Aroldis Chapman who  has not been the same pitcher since becoming a very very very very rich man… If I’m #HalCare I sue for misrepresenting funds…

Chapman  threw 23 pitches, only 11 were strikes and he missed only 1 bat.. Now Chapman gets paid all  that money to miss bats, but he has to  throw strikes in the process, which he did not do.. In fact Chapman faced 5 batters and didn’t get any of them out

The one time powerful Boston Red Sox have morphed into  a singles and doubles machine, last night they displayed their power vs the Yankees disappointing  $86M closer  by not sending a ball to  the out field, a typical  Boston offensive explosion

Chapman relieved Betances.

Betts reached on infield single to shortstop.

Pedroia reached on infield single to shortstop, Betts to second.

Betts stole third, Pedroia stole second.

Bogaerts safe at first on error by second baseman Torreyes, Betts scored, Pedroia to third.

Benintendi walked, Pedroia scored, Bogaerts to third, Ramírez to second.

“Ballgame over, Boston Wins”

Thanks Pa Pinstripe, excellent job…

Teflon Joe could have inserted Jonathan Holder or Tommy Layne to  do  that,  and #HalCare could have slipped all  that  dough under his pillow..

Unfortunately #HalCare now has a $17M AAV for 5 yr’s for a guy  who can only pitch one inning, and he hasn’t been able to  do  that job consistently  yet since stealing the dough

The Bob Steele

general Girardi

“One game doesn’t make a good start [to a road trip]. It would have been really nice to win, but I don’t think you can make too much of it,” Girardi said. “I will wake up [Saturday] and I don’t know if it will be sunny but the sun will come up.”

It hasn’t been  1 game Teflon Joe, it’s been 19 of the last 26..

The fact this ass hole’s job will be  protected by injuries is a Got Damn Shame

The I’m Smart  and You’re Not So Eat Shit

smarter joe

Based on Splits the Red Hot Clint Frazier was glued to  the pines last night vs a LHP….

0-19 in that line-up  range where Frazier would have hit…. Ellsbury 0-4, Holliday 0-4.. Frazier 2 blisters on his ass….

Today vs the best pitcher in the AL, he’ll no doubt insert Frazier, good luck kid…

    • hey Donny yes let’s see moe of Green he’s the best guy they have at the moment..

Actually if Cashman pulls his fucking head out of his ass he’ll bring up Adams and put him in the pen…Thry’re waiting for him to find his third pitch, you know what let him find it in winter ball right now he’s a potential Chad Green in waiting

  2. Frazier was soley responsible for the one win against the Brewers. So screw him. It’s not what I wanted to have happen. So I didn’t play him. I used a computer enhanced simulator which paired up Frazier’s swing as compared to how it would succeed against Pomeranz. The overcast weather and the echoes from the public address system at Fenway further reduced Frazier’s percentages to do well. I believe in sitting players down after they produce. I do it all the time. After ten years I’ve turned into a giant jackass but not many realize it yet. The above is what I believe Psycho Joey Claps thinks to himself when his head hits the pillow.

    • Hey Noogsie spot on, as was Big D’s take last night.. And even more spot on is your take of Frazier being the only guy to show a pulse vs the B-Crew, so sit him

Ass hole didn’t want to dis Ellsbury in Boston, or the 3 for 7 vs Pomeranz tipped the scale

The ass hole bats a AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA player 6th based on what side of the plate he swings from

how does this friggin guy still have a job.. the nerds in the front office just love other nerds they run in packs like dogs running down deer

Chapman and Cashman for paying him all that money smells like Ellsbury Déjà vu…If he’s hurt then DL him, if he’s got some aches and pains, join the fucking club, figure out a way to get your job done

  3. Sal—You’ve included the quote from his post game presser that bothered me the mostand I forgot it until I read it up above in your report.
The friggin team has been in a death spiral for about a month and he talks about the sun coming up tomorrow. Who wants to hear that happy horseshit?
Go audition for the Broadway Musical, Annie, and get the fuck out of here

  4. A Boston stat site I found confirmed
Moscone’ take the Sanchez bomb was more then 409

    Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats

Statcast said that was only hit 409′, so the radar is off by about 120′ tonight.

  7. Boston fans acting like Betts swiping 3rd base was a brilliant move…McCann could have stolen third base off Chapman or Betances.. Only one thing that stops the chest pumping take Sale out today..

    July 15, 2017 at 12:46 pm

  8. Kay mentioned Sale’s 2nd half splits were bad, maybe trying to make NYY fans feel better

I checked his July and Sept splits last yr were bad but over all not much different

    July 15, 2017 at 12:55 pm

  9. Sale in his career yes, but he’s been playing for a loser and if you count when he started as a reliever I guess you can cherry pick Kay’s take to be real… Depends where Kay got his intel….

    July 15, 2017 at 12:59 pm

  10. A gut wrenching loss. I left the game to answer a phone call. A short phone call. When I came back, the fucking game was over. WTF happened??
I left after Betsy finished his inning with a flourish. Only to get sucker punched in the gut upon my return.

This coulda been a feel good win. A good start to the second half & a big win against our rivals in front of us. But, nooooooooo!!!!

Chappy said he’s gone thru a stretch like this before in ’12. He better be right. Right, is something he hasn’t been all year.

I hate that smug attitude (face) Joey Day Care displays in those post game losing pressers.
“The sun will come up tomorrow….” give me a break with that patronizing crap.

Amazing that he sat a red hot Frazier. He does this all the fucking time! A guy has a great night, & Da Binder sits his ass down the next day citing some BS excuse.

Ahhh, I don’t want to talk about anymore…

    July 15, 2017 at 1:15 pm

    • hey Moscone…. good stuff bro, tough one to take… BTW you were right that Tater was a bit deeper then the Red Sox reported… even their own PR site thought that was BS

One way to get even, take their lunch money today with their big chief on the bump…
