Giant Debacle, Not in the Cards 4 Donny Baseball?

with 16 comments

Mikey 21, we may have to  change his name to Mikey What  a piece of Work, he promised to not pile on the Jets debilitating loss in San Diego on Sunday, claiming it’s no  fun to  kick a team that is in a fetal position, so  what does Mikey Do?

He kicks the Jets until his feet got sore for most of the afternoon. He sort of  slid past the fact that Mike the Dog Catcher Vick got his tail put between his legs when he came in as a “relief pitcha” in that game. Mikey has stated all year  how Vick would make the perfect relief QB for Gino Smith if he wasn’t getting it done.

From what I’m understanding  Vick had his shot, and failed..

Mikey mentioned, well he didn’t think he was gonna be called on and was sitting under a canopy, when he gets summoned, out of nowhere, what’s a Dog Catcher to do? Despite Coach Francy’s plan blowing up it didn’t stop him from spinning the mishap in His and Vick’s favor, sort of like when Mikey blocks for Grandasin or Arod

Mikey 21 dismissed his  over the weekend 0 for MLB predictions by saying how everybody had either the Tigas or the Angels, so nobody got it right, which begs an  answer to my question,

I thought Mikey’s M.O.  was  folks come to his show specifically to get expert  handicapping intel on everything going on in the world of sports, Mikey also  claims there is no  sport in picking the chalk, fine then  why did he pick  the chalk to  go  to  the World Series, then lump “everybody” in the same category as failures to get it right?

Mikey isn’t suposed to be “everybody” he’s the Sports Pope, his reasoning why the Tigas lost, they  couldn’t get Nelson Cruz out, and why the Angels lost,  KC caught everything the Angels hit. There you go,  handicapping at it’s finest, take it to  the bank, or follow Mikey’s picks and you’ll be withdrawing is more like it

Again Mikey looked at  the stars on the page and went from there, who’s kidding who, so if you followed the #1 Fantasy sports Book Handicapper over the weekend on his baseball picks, use the big mug coffee cup  to panhandle this week

One of Mikey’s cronies came on the air and touted the Pope on his stellar football picks, “he got em all  right”, the caller kept his shine box out and skipped past how Francy the First  and Last was shutout at the old ballgame

Last night the Pope got back in the running  with Dahgis losing, and Nats winning, and I’m sure we’ll hear  about it today, in between hawking books nobody cares about, and taking his own shine box out for the insidious Gary Bettman the “Comish” of the NHL.. should be a riveting show.

Donny Baseball pushing the wrong buttons, or is it they  don’t have an Andrew Miller to  shut down the Card’s LHB’s ?

My Vote : they  don’t have Andrew Miller,  the lanky lefty is making Buck look like a valedictorian in Baltimore, and Showalter doesn’t need anymore help, Buck is hands down Mgr of the Yr, what he and Dave Wallace did and are doing with that pitching staff is amazing.

Another Ace bites the Dust

Add Bumgarner to  the Lester, Scherzer, Kershaw, Price although he pitched great, tough to  win on 2 hits until the 9th when they  got to Britton, but that slick move by Buck walking Castellanos  allowed Big Zack to induce the DP that bailed the O’s out

How many Aces have we seen falter so  far, team’s paying the big money for these situations aren’t getting their money’s worth .. Aces, can’t live without them, and it’s been tough living with them so far in October.. In the regular season they  eat innings and are great  at the box office, plus they  stop a lot of bleeding, but they’re sure having their issues in the Post Season

Kershaw gets another shot today, unfortunately the last snapshot of him could be failing in October, after putting up High School type pitching numbers in the regular season, he’s carrying a big monkey on his back  to  the mound today

Baseball: Tough game to  predict

Go Donny Baseball….-….  Go Giants

  1. poor Donny baseball, the LA Donny, not our bluesman Donny, every time he brings in one of Colletti’s signings specifically the LHP the Cards mug them

let’s hope Kershaw can get this to game 5, the Cards are the new Red Sox when it comes to obnoxious

  2. Fransayso is the biggest blowhard on radio. And SO arrogant, even when he’s making excuses! “Well, that’s baseball, Suzyn!”

  5. Sal–I was thinking recently about your comment concerning Mikey and where he finds the time to watch all these games and know everything (or so he says) about what happened.
Additionally, he talks about the books he’s read or is reading, his tv favorite shows he watches (Homeland and Boardwalk Empire) his political knowledge–especially on the Kennedys, his golf club membership, handicapping and betting on every horse race going at either Aqueduct of Belmont, going to Broadway Shows and God knows what else. He makes mere mortals like us feel so unworthy. Mikey’s kids really have to compete for time with him, and I doubt Mikey ever has time to eat or sleep. Oh wait, on those 2.

  7. hey Noogsie, Mikey is living a full life for sure, no wonder he falls asleep at the wheel….

today I heard him tell some guy he watches more football then anybody, and has for 40 yr’s, he can feel when a game is gonna change…

Mikey’s in the wrong business, but then again handicappers have to have that X factor

I think he thinks he could be a football GM

Uribe finally comes through, man the Dahgis might steal one, at least they’re showing life

I wonder if they want to trade Puig he’d look good in Stripes, knucklehead and all

Kershaw is making a statement, but it’s only the 6th inning and he’s in the mid 90’s with his pitch count

$30m plus pitcher, big investment, I wonder if Donny goes old school and let’s Him throw 130 pitches?

Tough kid Kershaw, kid got off the ropes and is playing his ass off

Looks like Beltran and no salary flex plus HemRoid coming back cost us the 24 yr old Cuban slugger

This yankee front office is really killing us boys..not that we thought they were spending

Maybe The Dahgis are tired of Puig, lol

  12. Wow… Fat matt just took out the best pitcher in baseball

I hate the Cardinals, but if they hold on, beating Kershaw twice, gotta make them chalk

Must be something in the water

They hit no hrs this season

  13. Need a few weapons out of the pen, 3 days rest probably too much to ask to go 90 plus pitches

If Donny had a Betances and or Miller, he might have 2 innings in the bank, having both would give you that guy every day, one rests the other pitches

Betances is cheap they ain’t spending on a slugger, build a pen. Pay 2 guys, on 3 yr deals, and go with 5 cheap kids
